Alt' Grains Whisk(e)y

Surprise him or her with this one-day early class (VDay is the next day) of unusual whiskies: buckwheat, oat, blue corn, triticale…it’s not a joke, some really good whiskies are made from these grains. You’re used to yellow dent #2 corn in your Bourbon, Concerto barley in your single malt Scotch, at best you know some craft producer using a heirloom rye variety. But what about these other grains you thought only German bakers employ in their bread-making? Be curious, try something different.

This class is part of our "Alt Whisk(e)y" series . . . Exploring upcoming trends, unusual but noteworthy spirits, "indie" style productions, etc. Bottled water, nuts and crakers are provided while we investigate a 4 x 1 ounce tasting flight.
