In a recent Single Malt blind tasting by British experts, Balcones Texas Single Malt bested nine others, including legendary Scottish names like the Balvenie and the Macallan. It was the first time an American whiskey won the Best in Glass, a five-year-old competition to find the best whiskey released in a given year.
Join Balcones Master Distiller Chip Tate on Friday, April 5th for a four course dinner at Char No. 4. Each dish will be paired with a Balcones whiskey. Chip will give detailed explanations of how each whiskey is made and will undoubtedly have some fascinating tales of how he came to make a Texas whiskey that bested Scotch legends.
The dinner is $90 per person (not including tax and gratuity). There will be two seatings - 6:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
