Tuesday, December 17, 2013 - 7:30pm

Our friends over at the Kings County Distillery, the first distillery in New York City since prohibition, have recently released the excellent book, THE KINGS COUNTY GUIDE TO URBAN MOONSHINING: HOW TO MAKE AND DRINK WHISKEY.

Colin Spoelman, who co-founded the distillery and collaborated on the book with David Haskell, is coming to Char to support their new effort. We have been drinking up the excerpts that have appeared over the past month and were as thrilled to get our hands on the book as we have been to get our hands on their whiskey. We are very excited to have Colin at Char No. 4 to share his knowledge and experiences!

Join us Tuesday, December 17th at 7:30pm in our back room where 20 guests will taste through a selection of whiskeys from the Kings County Distillery. Colin will discuss his book and field your questions.

Admission is $40 and includes a flight of 3 whiskeys along with some snacks from our kitchen. Reservations will be accepted immediately and based on past experience the limited spots will go quickly so please call soon to guarantee a seat: (718)643-2106

The Kings Count Distillery Guide to Urban Moonshining will also be available for purchase at the restaurant for $17 plus tax, 25% less than the cover price. Of course, Colin will be happy to sign your purchased copy.
