We are pleased to announce that next Thursday Char No. 4 will host the book release party for Tasting Whiskey, written by Whiskey Advocate managing editor Lew Bryson.
Please join us Thursday, January 29th at 7:30pm at Char No. 4, where 20 guests will have the opportunity to sip exclusively Bottled-in-Bond American whiskeys and discuss all matters whiskey with Lew Bryson.
Mr. Bryson has spent the last 20 years immersed in the world of whiskey - writing
about it, thinking about it, drinking it, and talking to the people who make, sell, drink, and
collect it. He has traveled the world tasting whiskey, acquiring a breadth of knowledge and an experience of the full spectrum of international whiskies not commonly come by.
In Tasting Whiskey, he shares his passion for whiskey in a fun, approachable guide designed to enrich and educate readers as they embark on their own whiskey journeys. There are many guides to whiskey on the market, but, in the words of Bourbon, Straight author Charles K. Cowdery:
"I shouldn't say Tasting Whiskey is the only whiskey book you need, but it probably is."
Mr. Bryson will present and discuss a flight of Bottled-in-Bond American Whiskeys. There will be snacks from our kitchen and copies of Mr. Bryson's new book, Tasting Whiskey, available for sale and signing.
Admission is $45 and includes a flight of four whiskeys and snacks from our kitchen. Reservations will be accepted immediately and based on past experience the limited spots will go quickly, so please call soon to guarantee a seat.
Lew's Book will be available for purchase and signing at the restaurant for $15 plus tax, 20% less than the listed price.
