6:30pm - 8:30pm $50.00 - Reservations Required

Union Square Wines is extremely excited to be partnering with Kodansha USA on the launch of Whiskey Japan, the new book by award-winning author Dominic Roskrow. Dominic, one of the world's foremost whiskey experts, has spent the last few decades traveling the world from one dram to the next, compiling his knowledge and experience in books such as Whiskey Opus and 1001 Whiskies You Must Taste Before You Die. Now, with the release of Whiskey Japan, he has put out the definitive guide to world's most sought after libations. In this gorgeously illustrated, informative, and entertaining book, Mr. Roskrow covers every aspect of Japanese whisky: its history, production, marketing, recent boom in popularity, how and where to taste and enjoy it, and what the future is likely to hold.

Join us for this special event and get to taste some of the most highly rated and elusive spirits alongside Mr. Roskrow, while he takes you on a journey to the heart of Japanese whiskey culture. We'll be pouring some of the staples that are available in the New York market such as Nikka and Hakushu, as well as limited edition bottlings from Chichibu and Mars Shinshu. To top it all off, we're opening our last bottle of the whiskey that started the boom, the Yamazaki Sherry Cask.

Each ticket comes with a signed copy of the book, as well as a tasting glass that is yours to take home.
