Thick slabs of smoked bacon, tiny curls of cedar wood shavings, bitter chocolate pastilles and Georgia peach preserves wash over the palate in rapid succession. Subtle notes of open fire cooked cornbread dusted in zesty chili powder give way to crumbles of dehydrated oranges. Hints of salty crushed minerals and delicious lemon curd round out this bourbon.
Barrell Rye Whiskey Batch #001
Malty and spicy with a small hint of corn sweetness. Grassy fresh notes and dill on the palate when water is added. Finish is has a bitter lemon quality to it.
