Bourbon Progression Act 1

Saturday, January 27, 2018 - 2:30pm

We’re just getting started here on this pursuit of the greatest Bourbon…acts 2 and 3 are right around the corner. Age statements trumped on the labels are becoming a thing of the past, and when you see them, they’re there to justify a higher price tag. This class, therefore, will take you from year 4 with the #1 Bourbon in America, Jim Beam white label to year 10 with Russell’s Reserve, and 5 other in between: JR Ewing (5 years), Very Old Barton (6 years), Old Ezra (7 years), a special single barrel Four Roses OESQ (8 years), Evan Williams single barrel vintage (9 years)…as for the other Progression classes, you’ll notice a growing complexity, but it’s not always for the best: sometimes, younger is better. This class will is similar to a “standard” Bourbon class, where no prior knowledge is needed, only a taste for it. You’ll definitely learn a lot about Bourbon.
