We will be tasting 3 of their products:
77 Whiskey – Distilled from New York Wheat (previously known as Black Wax). This whiskey is produced the same way we make our wheat base spirit for our gin. That means they distill the grain in a manner to retain the character of the wheat. That flavor is then matched with the contribution of the barrel as it matures here in our space. Distilled from 100% wheat, aged in new American Oak
77 Whiskey – Distilled from Local Rye and Corn (previously known as White Wax). Distillery's 2nd whiskey is produced very much like the black wax whiskey, except they ferment a mash of rye and corn, rather than wheat. This grain combination benefits from some additional time in oak, so it tends to be a little older than the black wax. Distilled from 85% rye and 15% corn, aged in new American Oak
Glorious Gin - their original gin recipe. Distilled from wheat grown in upstate New York. Distillery redistills the base spirit in the presence of juniper, lemon, rosemary, ginger, and grapefruit.
