Breuckelen Whiskeys @ Smith & Vine

They say that when life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade. Brad Estabrooke took that philosophy one step further and made... gin. This former bond trader took advantage of being laid off by pursuing his fantasy of opening a distillery in New York City.

Breuckelen Distilling Glorious Gin is distilled from organic New York state wheat, then redistilled individually with each of its five botanicals: juniper, lemon, ginger, grapefruit, and rosemary. Each batch is then blended by hand and taste-tested against earlier batches to ensure consistency. This careful production yields an exceptionally smooth gin, with citrus-forward aromas, bright juniper, and clean, herbal notes on the finish-in short, a gin that lends itself to mixing. Fresh fruit cocktails and even bloody mary mix work well with this gin, too.
Not convinced? Maybe you should taste...
