On October 2nd, Brooklyn Shaken & Stirred will bring together Brooklyn cocktail bars and restaurants for a night of cocktails and artisanal spirits, as well as beer and wine, on October 2nd 6-9pm at The Green Building (452 Union Street, Carroll Gardens).
Featuring cocktails made with small-batch liquors, boutique local wines and beer accompanied by delicious bites from borough restaurants, Brooklyn Shaken & Stirred was conceived by Sharon Beason, founder of BrooklynExposed.com and the annual Tasting Brooklyn event, to highlight Brooklyn's role in the current cocktail and spirits renaissance.
Hot new cocktail spots and old favorites alike will serve signature cocktails, including Maison Premiere, Pok Pok, Donna, Sunburnt Calf and Sycamore, while local libations will include Brooklyn Gin, Brooklyn Republic Vodka, Jack from Brooklyn and Six Point Brewery. Artisanal liquors being showcased include White Pike Whiskey from Schuyler County NY, Templeton Rye, Tanteo Tequila, Cu Chulainn Irish Whiskey and Tenneyson Absinthe Royale. Participating wineries include Brooklyn Oenology and Brooklyn Winery. (More participants to come.)
Some of Brooklyn's top restaurants will serve bites to guests, including Allswell, Dressler, The Vanderbilt, Stone Park Cafe, Mable's Smokehouse, Benchmark, Tchoup Shop, D. Coluccio & Sons, Van Horn Sandwich Shop and event sponsor Fairway Market.
