Astor Spirits Social: An Evening With Pappy Van Winkle and Other Award Winning Whiskies
The first annual Astor Spirits Social is an ode to exemplary whiskies from all over the world including the cult phenomenon bourbon, Pappy Van Winkle.
This two part event will consist of a seminar with Harlen Wheatley, the Master Distiller at Buffalo Trace, and a walk around tasting of whiskies from all the major heavy hitters: Scotland, America, Japan and Ireland. Buffalo Trace Distillery is the oldest and largest distillery in America, making classic American Whiskies, housing the likes of Pappy Van Winkle and the Antique Collection. At this seminar, Harlen will lead you through tastings of 5 very distinct whiskies, two of which will be from the Pappy Van Winkle line. During the walk around session, representatives from around the world will share their wares, including rare and newly released expressions from their companies’ collections.

* The seminar with Harlen Wheatley will run in the form of two back to back sessions with the first session from 6 - 645pm and the second session from 715 - 8pm. Guests scheduled to sit in the second session will attend the walk around portion first. Once tickets are purchased, an email will be sent confirming which seminar session you will be in. All VIP ticket holders will attend the first seminar session from 6 - 645pm.
