Irish Whiskey @ Chelsea Wines

We have the Irish to thank for giving us the gift of whiskey, and the tradition of distilling this most delicious spirit. The word “whiskey” comes from the Gaelic “uisce beatha” (pronounced ish-ke bah), which means “water of life.” The denizens of Ireland have been distilling and aging spirits for centuries. In fact, the first written record of whiskey in the area dates to the early 1400s. To celebrate the history of this spirit, we will taste a full range of Irish whiskeys from different regions and different styles. We'll take you beyond the stereotypes and into the true Irish whiskey world--green hats not required.
