Japanese Whisky 2.0

By ellie - Posted on 17 May 2021

Tuesday, July 27, 2021 - 6:00pm

This is the new Japanese whisky scene we’re talking about…the rice-made whiskies, the Koji induced process, the exotic wood casks, the shochu-turned-whisky, the unconventional and surprising malts, and more! If you’ve been following the news, you know a lot has happened in the last few years, including astronomical prices, limited releases becoming so limited that you can only hear they may have existed for a second, world whiskies disguised as Japanese whiskies, and the Japanese market getting less whisky than us, here in the US…and a welcome brand new government-backed set of rules. If you like Japanese whisky, or thought you knew everything about it, then you need to take this class.

For those of you in person, class will start with some light snacks (themed with tasting category) and an introductory cocktail. We'll then sit for a information packed (and entertaining) presentation. We'll have a few nibbles on the table to enjoy along with your flight). For those of you joining virtually, it is best to enjoy a light meal or snack prior to the start of the tasting. Your tasting kit will arrive 2-3 days prior to the tasting date.
