In 1820 Alexander Walker created Johnnie Walker and sold it at his grocery store located in Kilmarnock, Scotland. His son and grandson were responsible for establishing the scotch as a popular brand. The operation remained within the family for over a century. The most common expressions are the Red Label, Black Label, Green Label, Gold Label, and Blue Label.
Johnnie Walker is the most widely distributed brand of blended Scotch whisky in the world.

Noorman’s Kil is a new whisky bar at 609 Grand Street in Williamsburg with a selection of over 350 whiskies.
It hosts regular tastings and other events. An assortment of grilled cheese sandwiches are on the menu and 12 rotating beers are be available on tap along with other spirits for the non-whiskey inclined.
