The Kentucky Derby is more than a horse race – it’s steeped in tradition, complete with classic dishes and cocktails. The Vault at Pfaff’s will mark the occasion by offering the ideal setting to watch the iconic race.
Pfaff’s will open its doors early, at 4:00 p.m.; provide a live broadcast of the race on a big screen; host both a “Best Hat” and “Pick The Winner” Contest with prizes; and serve up traditional dishes created by Executive Chef Dominic Rice, alongside three refreshing variations of 1850s-style mint juleps made with Larceny Bourbon from Heaven Hill Distilleries.

Guests are encouraged to don their finest chapeau in true Derby-fashion – and the winner of the “Best Hat” contest will receive a $50 gift certificate to The Vault at Pfaff’s. In addition, guests are invited to participate in the “Pick The Winner” contest: Guests who select the winner will receive a complimentary cocktail; guests who pick two of the top three horses will receive a $50 gift certificate to The Vault at Pfaff’s, and guests who name all three top horses will receive a $100 gift certificate.
