Kings County Distillery @ Noorman's Kil

By Noorman Kil - Posted on 25 August 2011

Wednesday, August 31, 2011 - 7:00pm

The freshly opened Noorman's Kil is excited to have Kings County do their first tasting.

Nicole from Kings County will be presenting the moonshine and the bourbon.

More About Nicole Austin:
Nicole Austin is a chemical engineer by day and a distiller by night. She's been with Kings County Distillery since August 2010, developing new recipes, monitoring production, tasting bourbon barrels, and sharing whiskey with everyone she meets. Like everyone at Kings County, Nicole is a self-taught craft distiller who learned the fine points of whiskey production through reading, collaboration, and much trial and error. When she is not working, Nicole spends most of her time "cultivating" her bourbon tasting skills.

Kings County Distillery:
Kings County Distillery is New York City’s first whiskey distillery since prohibition. Our unaged Corn whiskey is double pot-distilled using organic corn grown near the Finger Lakes, plus a little malted Scottish barley. We make only 2.5 gallons of whiskey a day, which produces a spirit that is unusually smooth and flavorful. Experiment using Kings County moonshine in cocktails that call for bourbon, or just drink it neat.
