SLANE ROCKS NYC!
Celebrating the launch of Slane Castle Irish Whiskey

Slane Castle Irish Whiskey is making its debut in New York on Friday, May 7th at Slane Public House on MacDougal Street in Greenwich Village from 5pm. Lord Henry Mount Charles, 8th Marquess Conyngham is hosting this exciting event where guests can enjoy unique cocktails paired with whiskey inspired food.

Carefully selected by three generations of the Conyngham family and distilled locally by Cooley Distillery, Slane Castle Irish Whiskey is a well balanced blend of malt and grain Irish whiskey which has been aged and matured in American oak bourbon barrels. Both the malt content and the type of wood used for maturation give this product its subtle sweetness and depth of character.

“This builds nicely and steadily in the glass with time, providing the drinker with whiskey of substance, gravitas and multi-layered aroma and taste”
F. Paul Pacult, The Spirit Journal
Since 1701, the Conyngham family has lived in Slane Castle by the banks of the mystical river Boyne in County Meath, Ireland, which flows beneath the famous Hill of Slane where St. Patrick lit his paschal fire. Since 1981, they have hosted Ireland's most extravagant rock concerts featuring the world's greatest live performers including U2, Rolling Stones, Madonna, Bob Dylan, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Robbie Williams and Oasis. Lord Henry, affectionately known as the ‘rock and roll aristocrat’ was recently honored with the 2010 Meteor Music Industry award in acknowledgement of his outstanding contribution to the music industry.

Slane Castle Irish Whiskey is imported to the U.S. by Capstone International and distributed by Lauber Imports a division of Southern Wines and Spirits.
