Long Island Spirits whiskeys @ Char No 4

Tuesday, November 18, 2014 - 7:30pm

While the Long Island Expressway may be better known as the route to summer fun (and maybe a little bit of traffic), this Tuesday, the L.I.E. brings the fun to us with a visit from Rich Stabile, owner and founder of Long Island Spirits.

Join us this Tuesday, November 18th at 7:30pm for a tasting of the Long Island Spirits whiskeys: Rough Rider Bourbon, Rough Rider Bull Moose Triple Barrel Rye & Pine Barrens Single Malt

Founded in 2007, Long Island Spirits is the first craft distillery on Long Island since the 1800's and makes and ages whiskey in an innovative and delicious fashion. Unlike most single malts which are made from an unhopped mash, the Pine Barrens Single Malt is distilled from a delicious, 70 IBU, barleywine with brilliant herbal and citrus aromas. The Rough Rider bourbon adds complexity through additional aging of the spirit in barrels formerly used to age Long Island Merlot and Chardonnay. The Rough Rider Bull Moose also undergoes an interesting aging process, beginning in charred new oak before moving on to both used bourbon and used Pine Barrens casks, allowing the rye and hops flavors to play against each other.

Join us for a guided tasting of these three great whiskeys along with snacks from our kitchen

$30 per person (plus tax and gratuity).
