The Orphan Barrel Project
Saturday, September 27th, 4:00pm
Whiskeys: Barterhouse 20 Year, Old Blowhard 26 Year, Rhetoric 20 Year

A bottle of bourbon can be a time capsule. It can take us back in time to experience whiskey made by distilleries that no longer exist and from mashbills that are no longer in use. It can also allow us to taste whiskey from distillers who are no longer at work.

Earlier this year Diageo released the first three bottles in the Orphan Barrel project--a trio of bourbons that will never be made again. All three are of exceptional age and capture a transitional moment in American whiskey--a moment when old distilleries were giving way to new and when one generation of distillers was handing the reigns over to another.

Join us to taste through these three extraordinary bourbons and hear about how they reflect a moment in bourbon history that is best captured by the contents of these bottles.

Admission: $55 per person.
The September classes are available individually or as a group of three for a 10% discount.
