The Past & Present of Bourbon @ Xavier Wine Co

By newyorkjosh - Posted on 13 March 2015

Tuesday, March 24, 2015 - 6:30pm

Join us in the Vault at Xavier Wine Company for a unique tasting of bourbons across the years. Local whiskey writers Steve Zeller (http://smokybeast.com) and Josh Feldman (http://cooperedtot.com) will lead the tasting and discuss the contrasts in bourbon between the 1970s and today’s limited edition releases. Sourcing bottles from their own collections, the tasting will compare and contrast vintage bourbons with their modern-day editions. Josh and Steve will explain how the industry has changed over the past decades and how those changes have affected the character and taste of our bourbon.
We will be sampling the following bourbons accompanied by cheese and charcuterie:
Old Taylor – 1970s
Old Forester – 1970s
E.H. Taylor Barrel Proof – 2014
Old Forester Birthday Bourbon – 2014

Tuesday, March 24th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
