Robert Burns Day: A Scotch Whisky Celebration

By ellie - Posted on 09 December 2016

Saturday, January 28, 2017 - 2:00pm

Join Astor Center for a seasonal celebration of three of the best things Scottish: Whisky, haggis, and Robert Burns. Scotland’s national poet and author of Auld Lang Syne, Robert Burns, has had an influence on many people across the world, through poetry and song and is traditionally celebrated with Burns Day suppers. At Astor’s spin on the traditional supper, guests will be able to sample a wide range of Scotch whiskies poured by representatives from numerous distilleries, sip Scotch cocktails as well as sample the national cuisine of Scotland: haggis, neeps & tatties (or turnips and potatoes in American parlance). It’s the perfect fare for a wintry afternoon and the ideal accompaniment to the smoky spirit we all love so much.
