Robert Burns Day: A Scotch Whisky Celebration

Join us as we celebrate the life and times of iconic Scottish poet and author of “Auld Lang Syne,” Robert Burns. To honor Burns on the holiday named for him, we will be digging into the Astor Center treasure trove for the foods and spirits that speak of Scotland. Along with the required libations (Scotch whisky, of course), we’ll be serving up haggis, “neeps,” and “tatties” (or, in American parlance, turnips and potatoes).

At this Astor Center walk around tasting, representatives from numerous distilleries will pour samples of whiskies from Burns’ home country. Guests will also be able to sip Scotch cocktails while sampling the national cuisine. This tasting, filled with smoke and heat and hearty Scottish fare, is the perfect remedy to a cold January evening.

Guests will receive:
- Sample pours of over 20 craft Scotch whiskies
- Samples of traditional Scottish fare
- Tastes of three Scotch Cocktails

This event is not free
