Scotch Tasting @ Char No. 4

By Thomas Turnbull - Posted on 22 January 2012

Tuesday, January 24, 2012 - 8:00pm

This past fall our bartender and resident whiskey writer Craig Bridger undertook a pilgrimage-long overdue-to Scotland, birthplace of malt whiskey. He rented a car, crisscrossed that verdant countryside, saw a lot of sheep (really-a lot of sheep). Craig shook hands with the custodians of some the world's most respected drams, and tasted outstanding whiskey. For six days he devoted himself to the appreciation (and dedicated consumption) of single malt Scotch and now you have the opportunity for Craig to guide you through your own tasting journey where you will get a first hand taste and account of the finest whiskey Scotland has to offer.

Join Craig Tuesday January 24th at 8pm when he will revisit some of the highlights of his trip, and taste 5 representative drams from Speyside, The Northern Highlands, and Islay. The whiskeys tasted will be as follows:

Glenfarclas 17 Year
Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or
Bowmore 12 Year
Macallan 10-Year Fine Oak
Ardbeg Alligator

$65 Per Person. Includes a few snacks from our kitchen to help fortify you during the tasting.

Reservations will be accepted immediately and with only 20 seats available a quick response is suggested if you want to guarantee yourself a spot.
