Scotch vs. Japanese Whisky

While Japan is the 2nd largest producer of single malt whisky in the world after Scotland, it makes tiny amounts of it compared to the latter. Yet, this is not why it’s so hard to find these days. The truth is, some say it’s better. We’ll let you be the judge of that. Clearly, Scotland has always been the inspiration for Japanese whisky, but most trophies seem to go to Japan at major whisky competitions…why?

This class is part of our "Spirituous Battles” series…covering two major spirits categories or sub-categories and opposing them in a fun way. Bottled water, nuts and crakers are provided while we investigate a 4 x 1 ounce tasting flight.
