Suntory Japanese Whisky Red Cross Fundraiser @ Char no 4

By Thomas Turnbull - Posted on 11 April 2011

Tuesday, April 12, 2011 - 5:00pm

Join us at Char No. 4 tomorrow night, Tuesday April 12th, when 100% of the pre-tax proceeds from the sales of all Japanese whiskey from 5pm until 1am will be contributed to the American Red Cross relief effort in Japan. Additionally, each Japanese whiskey you buy will earn you an opportunity to win a bottle of Japanese whiskey.

On hand from Suntory will be Gardner Dunn who will hang around all night at the bar to answer questions you have about Japanese Whiskey. Also, Gardner will make available for purchase some unique whiskeys from Japan which are not typically available in the U.S.

For anyone who has never tried a whiskey from Japan, the whiskeys are typically inspired by Scotch, but the Japanese bring a singular approach not to mention the easy to forget, but crucial ingredient, of a unique water source. The result is spectacular and sure to be enjoyed by any whiskey lover.
