TNT: Bourbon @ Louis 649

Tuesday, November 22, 2011 - 8:00pm

There’s America, and then there’s Americana. The difference? America is some place you’re so glad to be that you sing about it (hence those beautiful amber waves of grain and purple mountains’ majesty). Americana is some thing deep in your psyche; icons and everyday items that touch the very essence of your being and give you a sense of place (take apple pie for instance).

That’s bourbon – PURE Americana. Sure it’s intrinsically American simply because nobody else in the world can make it like we do; what makes it Americana is the way this spirit has been an integral part of our country’s drinking and cultural history, and what it means to the rest of the world.

When Wild Turkey and Russell’s Reserve join us at Louis 649 on November 22nd you’ll get a taste of Americana that’ll take you straight back to that porch overlooking the creek, with the trees slowly bending in the breeze as the hot sun bakes the soil – a feeling so familiar even if you’ve never been south of the Mason Dixon Line. With Thanksgiving just two days away, it’ll be something new to give thanks for before (and after) dinner.

And don't forget Happy Hour from 6 - 8 p.m. happens every night, even Tuesdays and TNT begins at 8 p.m. sharp.
