Weird Whiskey Trio

Get on the Greene Grape whiskey train this Friday for a free tasting of three unusual US whiskeys.

1st Stop: New Holland Artisan Spirit’s Brewers Whiskey – Michigan
New Holland Brewing is known for their craft beers, and their Malthouse Brewers Whiskey is distilled from just that--finished beer. The result? A scotch style whiskey with notes of smoke, spice, caramel and malt.

2nd Stop: Peach Street Distillers Colorado Straight Bourbon Whiskey – Colorado
Distilled from Olathe sweet corn and aged in Colorado white oak for two years, it’s got a distinct taste of red fruits married to nuts and hints of vanilla.

3rd Stop: Virginia Distillery Company Virginia Highland Malt Whisky- Virginia
They source aged, vatted malt from the best of the Scottish Highlands (Balvenie, Clynelish etc.) blend them to taste and finish them off in French oak wine barrels. It’s very complex with notes of baking spice, flowers, dried fruit and chocolate.
