Since Colonial times, distillers, bootleggers, and moonshiners moved across New York State from Buffalo to Brooklyn as they distilled, smuggled, and purveyed their wares. Prohibition busted up the party for over a decade and its after-shock meant we’d have to wait another 70 years for the action to kick back in. Hear the whole story of NY whiskey’s rise and fall and its renaissance in the contemporary market as you sip some of the Empire State’s richest offerings.
Classes are 2 hours long, including a Q&A session with Astor Center Instructor Robin Robinson.
