Whiskey Smackdown: Whiskies of the World

Bourbon from America, Irish whiskey from Ireland, Scotch from Scotland: is that it for whisky? Not even close. This brown spirit has been produced in almost every country around the globe. From Sweden to India to New Zealand, get ready as we take you on a world whisky tour. We’ll explore the different styles of whisky that are being produced, the variations in distilling methods, and the backgrounds of the distillers making the world’s greatest whiskies. We’ll also talk about the terroir of water, grain, and barrel sourcing and discuss what role location plays in building the flavors of this world-class spirit.

Objectives:
* Discover different whisky producers from around the globe.
* Compare and contrast different distilling practices and methods.
* Gain a greater understanding of the regional influences of whisky.
* Discuss flavor profiles and expand knowledge of whisky tasting.
* Learn about the people behind whisky production.
