The New NYC Whisky: Matured, Rebuilt, and Ready for a Dram

It’s been a little while since we’ve made a major update, but if there’s one thing we know in this industry, it’s that patience pays off.

I’m thrilled to welcome you to the new and improved NYC Whisky. We’ve spent the last few weeks completely rebuilding the site from the ground up. The goal was simple: make it easier for you to find a world-class tasting while you're standing on a subway platform or walking through a new neighborhood.

While the "engine" under the hood is brand new—built on cutting-edge tech to make it lightning-fast—our mission remains the same: providing the most comprehensive, hand-curated guide to whiskey tastings, classes, and festivals across the five boroughs.

What’s New in the Warehouse?

1. NYC Distillery Tours & Recurring Events

NYC is home to a world-class distilling scene that didn't exist when we first started this journey in 2007. We’ve now integrated dedicated listings for local distillery tours and tastings. Whether you want to see the copper stills at Kings County or grab a flight at Breuckelen Distilling, we’ve made those recurring events easier to find and book.

2. Performance & Mobile-First Design

The new site is built for the whisky lover on the move. We’ve optimized every page to load in seconds, ensuring you can check prices, venues, and neighborhoods without the lag.

3. Richer Event Details

We’ve overhauled how we present data. You’ll now find clearer information on:

  • Bottles on Offer: Know exactly what’s being poured before you buy a ticket.
  • Pricing & RSVP Links: Direct, verified links to get your spot.

Looking Forward

This is just the beginning. In the coming weeks, we’ll be launching more original guides (starting with our Anti-Pub Guide to St. Patrick’s Day) and deep-dives into the stories behind our local bottles.

One quick favor: As we settle into this new home, I’d love your feedback. If you notice a bug or know of a hidden-gem event I’ve missed, drop us a line here.

Slàinte,

Thomas, NYC Whisky
