GlenAllachie

The GlenAllachie is a Speyside single malt distillery near Aberlour, founded in 1967 and for most of its life a blending workhorse whose spirit disappeared anonymously into blends.

In 2017 it was bought by Billy Walker — the industry veteran who had already revived BenRiach, GlenDronach and Glenglassaugh — and relaunched as a single malt in his house style: old-style sherry-cask maturation, natural colour and non-chill-filtration. In 2021 the range took World's Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards.
