This advanced course is designed for people who have already acquired the fundamental understanding of the whisky making process, willing to expand their knowledge further. You will better comprehend the whisky diversity through the intimate variations of its make, the subtlety of the influence of many factors along the process, and ultimately, you will enjoy any whiskey at a new height.

This is a live on-line course. This means that you can interact with your tutor like in a virtual class. There is pre-read material and educational slides and graphic displayed during each session.

The course is organized in four two-hour sessions, one week apart.
The three first session are focusing at a different module, and the last session is a wrap up session with the exam.

A CYCLE = 4 LIVE ON-LINE SESSIONS “WEEKDAYS”
Module #1: “From grain to wash”, Tuesday January 19 from 10:30am to 12:30pm EST

Module #2: “Fundamentals of distillation”, Tuesday January 25, from 10:30am to 12:30pm EST

Module #3: “Wood and maturation”, Tuesday February 2, from 10:30am to 12:30pm EST

Wrap up and exam: Tuesday February 15, from 10:30am to 12:30pm EST

Your tutor:
Franck is a Whisky Ambassador Tutor (Scotland) and has a distiller degree from IBD (London, UK) and is involved in Bourbon & American whiskey production. He has toured the world to visit more than 140 distilleries from Japan to America and in between, travels on a regular basis to whisky experts’ gatherings, and is well connected with the most prestigious actors of the area.

Franck is a judge in national and international Spirit Competitions, including the prestigious World Whisky Awards.

He has entertained or trained more than 4,000 participants to date to his sessions and is recognized for his very effective pedagogical approach while demonstrating his passion.
