Bourbon History @ Kings County Distillery

Join America's preeminent bourbon historian Mike Veach in a discussion of Kentucky's substantial contribution to American whiskey history, followed by a tasting of bourbons selected by Mr. Veach. Veach is the author of Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey: An American Heritage and is resident historian at the Filson Historical Society, in Louisville, Kentucky. Veach's research has debunked several long-held bourbon myths, including the identity of the first maker of bourbon whiskey, the mythology around its name, and other legends and lore associated with bourbon. We'll also explore the connections between New York City and Kentucky's distilling industry. All proceeds will be donated to the Filson Historical Society.
