Nearly a century after the official end of Prohibition, the world is still infatuated with hidden bars. From the “raid ready” collapsable bar shelves at the iconic ‘21’ Club, a 19th century Bohemian garden bar in “rural” SoHo, and an enduring modern classic from Raines Law Room, three cocktails—the Southside, the Sherry Cobbler, and Whiskey Business—exemplify New York City’s speakeasy history and modern era. Join us for an evening of bar lore and cocktail technique with local award-nominated author (and Astor alum) Amanda Schuster.
Classes are 2 hours long, including a Q&A session with Astor Center Instructor, Amanda Schuster.
