Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is a celebration to welcome the new year and invite good fortune. Friends and families sit around the table to share dishes with lucky meanings—such as fish, dumplings, noodles, and of course whisky. On Thursday, January 30th, Westland Distillery continues this tradition at Golden Unicorn Restaurant in NYC. Please join us for a family-style Chinese feast with accompanying drams of Westland’s acclaimed American Single Malt Whiskies.

Westland is leading the emergence of the next big thing in whiskey, American Single Malt. Distilled, matured, and bottled in the heart of the Pacific Northwest, their whiskies bring a new and distinctly American voice to the world of single malt. To produce their single malt, they adopt the same basic raw materials and processes used for generations in the old world, but they don’t simply seek to replicate the results. Instead, they create whiskies that reflect the distinct qualities of their region. During the dinner, Westland's Chris Riesbeck will be discussing this unique approach and how the distillery is expressing a true sense of place in whiskey.

It will indeed be a night of East Meets West—celebrating Asian culture in the United States, with an American single malt whiskey from the far reaches of the continent.

Ticket price includes: A Welcome Cocktail, tasting of 6 whiskies, dinner, and a gift.
