Certain whiskey categories are so underappreciated it's a sin. We whiskey snobs are as sinful as anyone else, favoring single malts over blends indiscriminately, paying up the ying-yang for Pappy's when there are perfectly good, cheap bourbons available. But there's hope for us yet.
Somewhere between Heaven and Hell's Kitchen there is Perdition. That's where we are on Tuesday, September 22nd. Come show your appreciation for these whiskeys and be redeemed in the eyes of the whiskey gods.
A Canadian Whisky – Yes, our neighbors to the north are doing something right.
A good scotch blend – So not Johnny Walker red. Sorry, JW, but you took the green away from us so you deserve some ribbing.
A high quality AND affordable bourbon or Tennessee Whiskey – So not Pappy Van Winkle (too pricey) and not WL Weller (because we did it at a previous tasting). This stuff will be delicious and ever that much sweeter, cuz it be cheaper.
