Nikka and Suntory are the biggest players in Japanese whisky, but aren't the only ones — it's time to introduce you to these two iconic brands and a host of others being distilled in Japan.
Join New York Adventure Club (http://www.nyadventureclub.com/) as we taste and learn our way through Japan and its whiskies, all inside a private mansion originally built in 1899 for the Civic Club.
Led by Kurt Maitland, founder of the Manhattan Whiskey Club and Deputy Editor of the Whiskey Reviewer, our unique experience at this intimate space in Manhattan will include:
• An overview of Japanese whisky – what it is, how it's made, along with some insight into what is happening in the booming industry
• The 101 on some of the different distilleries of Japan
• A tasting of several different whiskies from Japan, including Japanese single malts and blends
• A chance to mingle with other adventurers who enjoy whiskey as much as you do
