This beautiful distillery was designed and built by the Nelstrop family for the specific purpose of producing the very finest English malt whisky. The Nelstrops chose England and, more specifically, Roudham, Norfolk because the two main ingredients in whisky are water and barley; Roudham prides itself on the purest water, owing to an aquifer beneath the distillery, and the best barley--it's the region's premier product. The English Whisky Co. ages its whiskies in American oak casks that have housed bourbon, as well as used Sherry and wine casks. These are artisanal whiskies that are handmade and hand-filled.
