Shopping for Bourbons @ The Flatiron Room

By The Flatiron Room - Posted on 30 May 2013

Tuesday, June 18, 2013 - 7:00pm

You flip through menus. Wander spirit store floors. Click endlessly online through review sites. In the end, you still have no idea what makes a whiskey fabulous, and what is worth what. This class will explore six whiskies at different price points so that you will understand what makes a stand-out whiskey worth your money. We'll even throw in a wild card just for contrast fun. Signature cocktail and light appetizers provided. Bottle Keep members receive 15% off.

Led by Heather Greene, New York’s first official whiskey Sommelier and Director of Whiskey Education, classes will be carefully tailored under her extensive experience in teaching to a wide variety of students over the past 8 years. She is one of the world’s only female whiskey experts and was recently featured in the NY Post as “New York’s Dame of Drinks.” You will walk away with both a pronounced appreciation for whiskey and a light skip in your step after one of these fun and dynamic courses.

All classes are held upstairs in our tasting room. The space has been designed specifically for these classes and all details have been considered. A long 16’ black walnut tasting table, moderator podium, projection screen, sound-proofed curtains and a separate PA system. Tastings start on time, so please arrive early to avoid any interruption.

From the beginner to the most avid dark spirits lover, our classes are designed to continue taste development and excitement.
