Blind Tasting Single Malt Scotch with Martin Daraz

Location: The Study
Price: $89
Date: Fri, Nov 18th, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM

Join us as we demystify the world of single malt whisky by removing any of your preconceived notions and focusing your sensory perception right where it should be: on the liquid in your glass.

Bypassing the traditional forms of tasting (which are so often based on marketing strategies, not distilling practices), we’ll allow you to experience Scotch whisky on your terms. We’ll be sampling twelve (that’s right, twelve) single malts from all over Scotland, including heavily sherried and peated whiskies to illustrate the stark differences between distilleries. We’ll discuss the unique characteristics and individual flavor profiles of each expression before revealing the identity of all 12 whiskies at the end of class. Trust us, the results will surprise you. This fun and informative tasting is sure to deepen your understanding of and appreciation for all varieties of single malt.
