As we bid the year's Cocks a less-than-fond farewell, we have something to look forward to. 2018 ushers in the Year of the Dog, and what better antidote is there than being welcomed into the new year by a bunch of lovable, furry puppies?

Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is a celebration to welcome the new year and invite good fortune. The New Year's Eve dinner, called the "reunion dinner," is the most important meal of the year. Big families of several generations sit at round tables and enjoy food and time together. Dishes with lucky meanings must be included in the dinner such as fish, dumplings, noodles, and of course whisky.
