In the 19th century, Marines were dispatched from the Navy Yard to crack down on illegal whiskey distilling in what became known as the WHISKEY WARS. Today, Kings County Distillery is proudly making moonshine and more on premises. Join BLDG 92 and Kings County Distillery on a tour (and tasting!) that explores whiskey scandals of the past and the resurgence of the industry today.
Tours last approximately 90 minutes and start and end at BLDG 92. Part of this tour requires climbing stairs. If you are interested in coming and have questions about accessibility, please call us for further information. Participants must be at least 21 years of age.
Factory Tours Overview: BLDG 92’s Factory Tours offer the public a chance to experience industry in action through exposure to the diversity of active factories and manufacturers on the Yard. Factory Tours explore the Yard’s development today as a model of sustainable urban industry, and give visitors a unique opportunity to witness first-hand the resurgence of new and traditional manufacturing.
