This three-part series takes you on a sensory exploration of the world’s most beloved grain-based distillate. Designed to lead the whisky neophyte into a better-than-basic understanding or to fill in the gaps in experienced imbiber’s knowledge, we’ll walk you through the history, understanding, and (most importantly) enjoyment of all types of whisky. Each session may be taken individually or purchased as a complete series as part of Whisky 101 package.

Session II will focus on the many factors which may affect a finished whisky’s flavor. As we taste through a variety of examples from around the world, we’ll discuss the influence of different types of wood, the effect of age (both the good and the bad), and the many levels of peat.
