What We Collect

We collect minimal data to operate and improve NYC Whisky:

  • Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referral source, device type (via Google Analytics 4). This data is anonymised and aggregated.
  • Email address — only if you subscribe to our newsletter via Mailchimp. We never share your email with third parties.
  • Contact form submissions — your name, email, and message when you use our contact form.

We do not collect payment information, passwords, or sensitive personal data.

How We Use It

  • To understand which events and venues are most useful to visitors so we can improve coverage.
  • To send our weekly newsletter (only to subscribers who opted in).
  • To respond to contact form enquiries.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

Third-Party Services

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site traffic. GA4 collects anonymised usage data and uses cookies. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Mailchimp

Our newsletter is powered by Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.). If you subscribe, your email address is stored and processed by Mailchimp under their privacy policy. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.

Cloudflare

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process request metadata (IP addresses, headers) for security and performance purposes under their privacy policy.

Cookies

We use a single first-party cookie to store your age-gate confirmation (so you are not asked again on every visit). Google Analytics sets its own cookies for session tracking. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

Your Rights
