Hartley's is the closest Brooklyn gets to an authentic Irish shebeen — a tiny, candlelit gem on Putnam Avenue in Clinton Hill where the focus is warmth, great spirits, and proper Irish comfort food. The house-baked soda bread, made fresh daily and served with Irish butter and sea salt, is as much a draw as the whiskey list. Monday nights come alive with a packed trad session at 8 PM.
