Springbank distillery was built in 1825 on the site of an illegal still. This Springbank 10 year old single malt whisky is bottled at 46% abv and was matured in 60% bourbon cask and 40% sherry cask. The light color of this malt belies the richness of its character. The nose suggests a wide range of aromas, from citrus fruits to pears and a hint of peat. The palate excites even further with a touch of smoke, vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon and a salty tang characteristic of Springbank.
